Our client is a leading specialist in Point Fixed Structural Glass System and curtain wall. They have their own R&D capabilities and manufacturing & distribution centres to support their on-going projects in Asia, Australasia, Middle East and Europe.  In view of their rapid expansion in the Middle East, they seek a dynamic, results-oriented professional for the challenging post of:

General Manager

Salary around S$100,000 p.a. plus housing, car and profit sharing

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, operations and bottom line of the projects in the UAE. You will review and handle negotiations of all commercial contracts. You will work closely with the manufacturing and distribution centres, designers and engineers to ensure profitability of each project. You will monitor tender pricing, project costing, budget and resource scheduling, as well as supervise and manage on-going projects. You will identify, analyse and monitor issues affecting profitability, and develop and implement strategies to tackle these issues.

You should have a degree in engineering and preferably a post graduate degree in business with at least three years’ experience in a managerial role in the construction industry. You should possess good business acumen with plenty of drive and the ability to work independently. Excellent leadership, good interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, strategic in thinking and organisational ability are key traits sought for the position. Fluency in English and excellent presentation skills are crucial for the position.
