Our client is a Singapore owned company and has been operating in and has been in operating in China for more than 10 years.   Headquarters in Shanghai and various manufacturing facilities in other parts of China, they are engaged in manufacturing, sales and distribution of automotive parts.  They have current revenue of USD1.5bn and are a market leader in this segment.  Their products are distributed domestically in China as well as to over 80 countries globally. 

Financial Controller

Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you will lead a team in managing and coordinating all management and financial reporting for the company in key areas such as month end consolidation, statutory reporting, long term business plan, annual budget and quarterly forecast.  You will review and oversee business controls and ensure compliance of all statutory and regulatory requirements.  You will participate actively in financial evaluation of projects, business development/business expansion plans and other ad-hoc projects.  You will play an active role in managing IT and/or business process improvements with operating companies in China, US and Singapore.

To qualify for this role, you must have a Degree in Accountancy and/or professional accounting qualifications with minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in a MNC or regional environment, preferably in the manufacturing and/or distribution environment. You need to speak and write fluently in English and Mandarin.  You need to have strong financial analysis skills and a good understanding of group accounting / consolidation and IFRS. You are a self-motivated individual and a strong team player with a high level of communication, influencing and relationship building skills. You also have sound business analytical and project management skills.
