Our client, a Japanese multinational, is one of the world’s largest fully integrated tire manufacturers.  Their Singapore trading office is responsible for the procurement and delivery of natural rubber to the various operations throughout the world. As part of their strategic expansion, they seek young and career-oriented graduates for the positions of:

Senior Operations Analyst                                                                                           (Ref 2170)

Around $42,000 p.a.

You will provide administrative and operational support to the internal business units on all matters pertaining to supply chain, finance, quality and safety.  You shall assist in preparing reports to monitor unit operating results and consolidating data for reporting to their head office. You shall facilitate and coordinate operational matters arising between individual business units, group customers or head office in administrative, accounting, technical, quality, productivity, safety and environmental issues. You will report to the Strategic Planning Manager, but will also have the opportunity to provide direct support to the President and Managing Director.

This closely-knit company requires candidates to be team-oriented, diligent, highly adaptable and able to work well under pressure.  Possessing good interpersonal and communication skills, you should be detailed-oriented and be prepared to learn in-depth the intricacies of your respective assignments to prepare you to move up the career ladder in due course.  Knowledge of Asian languages will be desirable, in addition to fluency in written and spoken English.

Candidates should possess a University Degree or Diploma (preferably in Business Administration or Finance/Accounting for the Operations position and Supply Chain or Logistics for the Procurement role) and preferably two to least three years’ experience in commodity trading operations, supply chain or purchasing.
