Our client is a leading dairy processor
and nutritional food ingredients group that supplies vitamins and
mineral pre-mixes and dairy specialities to companies in the manufacture
of infant formula, beverage, sports and clinical nutrition and
functional foods. In view of their rapid expansion in the Asia
Pacific, they seek a dynamic, results-oriented and high calibre
professional for:
Lactose
Commercial Director,
Asia
Pacific
(Base:
Singapore or Shanghai)
Reporting
to the Regional Director, you
will be responsible for developing the company’s overall Lactose
strategy and maximising their returns for lactose through defining best
allocation principles across geographies and sectors, managing customer
and market expectations on price and identifying new opportunities for
increased product stream. This includes monitoring the markets
closely as well as developing and supporting key customer relationships
while identifying short-term opportunities and maintaining market
balance. He/She will:
- Manage
the Lactose supply from the US Operations, including any expansions.
- Maximise
returns on Lactose in co-ordination with the overall nutritionals’
strategy..
- Gather,
analyse and present marketing intelligence on global Lactose trends
(competitors, supply, price etc).
- Negotiate
regional Lactose contracts.
- Represent
the company on relevant trade organisations associated with Lactose.
Candidates
should possess a University Degree, preferably business or marketing
related and have at least ten years of working experience, including
five years in global management of fast moving commodity ingredients,
preferably in the Dairy industry. Strong business building
experience and working in growth markets in the AsiaPac would be a
definite plus. To be successful in this position, you must possess
good commercial knowledge in economics, business planning, negotiation,
pricing dynamics, and business acumen. You should possess excellent
communication and presentation skills, including ability to building
rapport with trade organisations and customers. Fluency in English is
essential while knowledge of other Asian languages would be an
advantage.
