Manager

International Moves, Asia Pacific

You will be responsible for managing and providing governance to the international mobility process in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring both consistency with internal policies and processes and compliance with tax and legal regulations.  Reporting to the Functional Head in Asia Pacific and working with the global team, external consultants and various HR groups within the company, you shall recommend assignment packages and benefits, tax and immigration planning in home and host locations to achieve efficiency and effectiveness, while minimizing cost.  You shall provide assignment related compensation calculations, review tax equalisation settlements, provide assignee briefings as well as issue assignment cost estimates for budgeting purposes. You shall also conduct the appropriate research with external tax and legal advisors to resolve tax, immigration or labour law issues for assignees as they arise.

You should possess a CPA/CA qualification or a Degree preferably in Accounting or Business Administration plus at least 5 years’ relevant experience in international human resources/expatriate taxation with the ‘Big Four’ Public Accounting Firms or major MNCs.  You should have a good understanding of expatriate/international tax issues on compensation packages and benefits and knowledge of labour and immigration laws in the Asia Pacific. In addition to being Independent, analytical, resourceful, customer focused and well organised, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
